ABOUT OUR SPEAKER:
To increase their outreach and the research capacity of companies in Tulsa and northeast Oklahoma, the Oklahoma Center for the Advancement of Science and Technology (OCAST) has named Cornell Lee Cross II associate director of OCAST programs in the agency’s Tulsa office.
On January 1st, 2005, Cross arrived in Tulsa, Oklahoma, having moved to the area from South Burlington, Vermont. Between the years of 2005 to 2008, Cross earned his Bachelor of Science in Government, with a minor in Biochemistry, from Oral Roberts University. In 2009, Cross started his graduate program at the University of Tulsa, and earned his Master of Science in BioChemistry in 2011. Upon graduation, Cross started his career by serving at the Oklahoma Insurance Department, where he assisted Insurance Commissioner John Doak on his 77 County Tour and other daily activities. In December of 2011, Cross joined OCAST where he works to find and assist Oklahoma’s Scientific, Technical, Engineering and Manufacturing (STEM) businesses in the northeastern region of the State consisting of 24 counties.
Over the last 20 months, Cross has accumulated a client list of 105 companies and collaboration partners in the fields of Aerospace, Defense, Medical, Manufacturing and more.
