Best Practices for Integrating Referral Partners into Your BR&E Program
Friday, November 5, 2010
9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
**Please NOTE – Sessions in Oklahoma City are on two different days!
Do you know how well businesses are doing in your community?
Do you make visits to them on a regular basis?
Do you have a good way to keep notes on those visits?
Who would you turn to in the community to help a struggling business?
Who would you turn to in the community to help a business grow?
A strong Business Retention and Expansion (BR&E) program can answer all of those questions and more! In today’s economy, BR&E is more important than ever; and information is key to any successful BR&E program. So don’t miss two great opportunities to strengthen your local BR&E program! Join us for one or both of the following workshops set for the first week in November.
Getting the Most Out of Oklahoma’s Biz Beat
Considering that up to 80 percent of all new jobs come from existing companies and that it costs a lot less to keep a company than it does to recruit a new company, it makes sense to learn all you can about the companies in your area. Oklahoma’s Biz Beat (aka Executive Pulse), the state’s business retention and expansion tool, can help. Whether you have been to training before or are just getting started, this session will provide you with the information you need to move into high gear! You will leave this session with:
• a good understanding of business retention and expansion
• a tool to help you implement the Oklahoma’s Biz Beat in your community
• suggested measures for your program
• tips for producing helpful reports
• and much, much more!
Best Practices for Integrating Referral Partners into your BR&E Program
It takes a village to make sure your existing companies thrive and grow. That village is the cadre of service providers you call on when a company has a challenge that needs resolving. Maybe it’s training, or perhaps an issue with utilities. Oklahoma’s Biz Beat (aka Executive Pulse) has a built in system to help you make referrals to all those folks. Feel free to invite your referral partners to this session or come without them and learn how to bring them on board in your community. In this session you will:
• learn how to use the referral partner portion of the system
• get practical ideas for making sure your referral partners know their role in BR&E and how to use Oklahoma’s Biz Beat
For help identifying your local referral partners see the attachment to this email.
Plan now to attend one or both of these sessions to help grow not only your BR&E efforts but your businesses as well! Sessions will be held in Oklahoma City and Tulsa and are free of charge. But, you must register to attend.
