The Tulsa Regional Chamber is accepting applications for our Project Manager, Economic Development. The Project Manager is responsible for Economic Development projects in new and existing business development and marketing activities, such as coordinating prospect visits, prospect inquiry response preparation, consultant survey responses, and out-of-state marketing activities. Additionally, the Project Manager is responsible for working with existing local businesses and coordinating company visits, handling retention and expansion projects, serving as a resource for local government coordination, and developing and maintaining appropriate databases to support Economic Development activities as needed.
This is a full time exempt position that regularly requires the need to work beyond what the standard work day/week. This position sometimes requires extensive weekend and “after hours” work to successfully implement the Strategic Plan and other programs. This position sometimes requires extensive travel, in Oklahoma, United States and International Travel for varying periods of time.
The Tulsa Regional Chamber was established in 1903 with the mission to serve as the principal business-driven leadership organization improving the quality of community life through the development of regional economic prosperity. The Chamber represents more than 2,000 member organizations, and utilizes thousands of volunteers to accomplish its programs and services. The Tulsa Regional Chamber was awarded Chamber of the Year in 2005, 2008 and 2010 and in 2018was selected as one of three finalist for the Chamber of the Year award by the American Chamber of Commerce Executives. In 2012 and 2017, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce awarded the Tulsa Regional Chamber its highest recognition, a five-star accreditation. In addition, the Chamber is an accredited economic development organization through the International Economic Development Council.
