Additional Scholarship: Jenny Overhue Memorial Scholarship for Heartland

The Jenny Overhue Memorial Scholarship is a tuition scholarship awarded annually to one attendee from each of the six Heartland states: Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, and South Dakota.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • individual must reside in Heartland’s partner states of Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma, or South Dakota;
  • preference will be given to attendees representing “rural” communities of less than 50,000 population;
  • applicants being awarded tuition scholarships from their respective state development association, utility provider or other scholarship sources are ineligible to receive the Jenny Overhue Memorial Scholarship;
  • application must be completed and submitted no later than February 27, 2015 to be considered for the April 2015 course.

This scholarship is for tuition only (valued at $595). Recipients must pay for their own lodging and Heartland Meal Package.

Heartland course early registration deadline is March 19, 2015. Lodging reservations must be made by April 5, 2015.

Applicants should apply for both scholarships, however, applicants may only accept one scholarship
